s14 bumper on an mx83

as i was looking through facebook while compiling the x80s of facebook i spotted an mx83 a gc8 impreza bumper. i remembered on my old car that a gc8 impreza bumper fits a bd9 liberty. also from this i realised that a bd9 bumper fits an s14 bumper! so in turn my ghetto thought process found

  • impreza bumper fits cressida
  • impreza bumper fits liberty/legacy
  • s14 bumper fits liberty/legacy
  • thus, s14 bumper fits cressida!

‘ijohnny’ or johhny knew someone with an s14 bumper around so i thought he should use this to his advantage. here are the shots:

wheels arches line up perfectly but there’s a gap under the headlights

from these two pictures you can see that the s14 body line is a lot more rounded at the front in comparison

i think this could be easily modded to work with the mx83. if you’re handy with fabrication and fiberglass then this  is quite a good option for a kit in comparison to the much more expensive kits out there.

    1. just looking at a picture of a vertex kit shows that it will require a lot of cutting because it’s a coupe

  1. this isn’t my car for starters and i don’t own a pair. usually people buy them from yahoo japan auctions and send them over.

i’m sure someone in the states has a pair of japanese headlights you could paint

    1. looks to be a s14 zenki vertex bumper. s14a bumper may fit better but i’ll never know until i try

    2. in revision to what i just said, it was a kouki bumper that was on the subaru. maybe that’s why the zenki doesn’t fit as well as expected.

  2. If the s14 bumper fits the wheel arches but has a gape underneath the grill and lights why not try a s13 bumper ??
