diy: boot badge

so everyone knows that the series 1 cressida badge looks better than the the series 2. my cressida was looking a bit confused with series 1 front badge and series 2 rear. i tried to remove a boot lock from the wreckers but i was as hopeless as i was removing the door handles. i decided to try the more risky yet easy way.

first i got the current boot lock badge and attempted to remove it with a precision flat head screwdriver.

since the badge is over 20 years old, it naturally cracked under the pressure. learning from this, i would suggest you use the thinnest precision screw driver possible and find the biggest gap. as you can see, this is how the cracks look.

time to clean up the gunk…

since learning from my earlier mistake, i used an exacto knife to remove this.

double sided sticky tape that shit up and viola

  1. took my s1 boot lock off the other day, pretty easy to take the hole thing off instead of cutting out symbol.

    1. ah man, wish i could have figured this out but i genuinely couldn’t when at the wreckers
